    I'm not the one to ask about performance mods. Of course, higher compression will give you more power.

    As far as temps, the cylinders don't all run the same. That's why some engines have different carb tuning or different ignition timing between cylinders. Offhand, I really don't know the differences between cylinders on the 150. Temps on the flush hose will usually be cold.

    For the temperature difference...
    When a cylinder is running lean, that can increase the temperature. Maybe check that out...
    Also, these engines tend to collect small bits of vegetation in the tiny holes in the head gasket. Your water flow could be partially restricted.
