    Yamaha sho factory boost

hello, I have a 2009 fzr sho. Does anyone know what the stock boost is on them ?

Would I be able to upgrade to a 16 psi supercharger wheel without engine issues ?

And what supporting mods will i need apart from re flash

    Any help is greatly apriciated

6 psi on the stock charger.

you will need a reflash or ECU upgrade to handle 16psi as well as a good fuel system to maintain good ratios. (rising rate regulator and larger fuel injectors)

What is your current mod list? In order to run a 16lb wheel and get the speed / performance out of it that you're probably expecting it's going to take quite a few supporting mods. The charger will need an upgraded shaft to support the wheel and boost levels. The fuel system would need STi Pink or SVHO injectors along with a RRPR and the stock regulator block off installed. The stock intercooler will need to be replaced with a Fizzle or Riva unit, and you'll probably want to do a retainer upgrade to spin the motor safely into the wheel's sweet spot for RPM. You can run the 155 impeller but it's going to be a PITA to get everything dialed in and hooking with that much power. Most people running that setup on a SHO are also running a 160 wear ring and impeller.

Upgrading to a 16lb wheel on a SHO is great and the performance is really nice, but it requires a good bit of work and money.

Yes. A lot guys ran the ET 15.5 with Subaru WRX STi Pink injectors. They’re a good upgrade over the stock injectors and plug right up. You can get them pretty cheap online. If you search the forums you’ll get more info on the swap.

Don't forget a good Afr wideband set up, to measure AFRs and set fuel pressure

Money you would spend on bits you will find it cheaper selling and buying a svho
