Motor swap
First post. Thanks for all the lurking help that has been provided. Now my question... My XLT 1200 crapped out. Something in the bottom end. It will start but it's not happy. I have a 1997 1100 waveraider with a cracked hull. Would it be feasible to put the 1100 motor in the XLT. Thanks in advance..

The XLT is setup for a different series of engine. It COULD be done, but you would have to change everything including the impeller to get it running right. You'd be better off selling the good Waveraider parts and buying a new crank, etc., for the XLT.
