Yeah 3-4 is a weaker one i would assume. They upgraded to a stronger one for a reason in 2016. Some say leave alone. Some say replace. Upgrading can be a bit involved. New chain, new guides, and new cam gears. Im upgrading mine this spring for piece of mind. Idk if visually inspecting could do anything. Some saw a broken link and caught it in time. But some will tell you they checked the chain and 4 hrs later it snapped.
