Replacement Hoses from Exhaust to Head
So I did a post a few weeks back about this and I decided I would go out and look for some good hose local. Found some good hose I think and I used it. It is 3/8's hose, is this right?
Now yesterday while I was out my warning light beeped at me and said it was getting hot. So I shut her down and floated to shore and waited awhile for her to cool. Wasn't super hot but alot hotter than usual on the head. Anyways glad I caught it and didn't over heat.
The stock hose as you guys know is formed hose and does not have that reinforcement weave in it. The hose I bought is not formed for that and have that weave in it. I had to actually actually work the ends of the hoses for it to get on the ski.
So I am assuming my issue has to be these hoses.
What do you think? It only did the heat warning once and that was after I was flight across the lake and goofing around through heavy chop.... in the rain no less lol.
Anyways I am on Riva's site looking at this Synflex hosing

Maybe the inner diameter of your aftermarket hose is allot smaller than the oem hose ?
also are you sure you dont have any kinks or collapsed hose due to the angles being a bit to sharp ?

See I was worrying about bending them too sharp. With the seat off all looks fine but maybe with the seat on they are not.
Gawwww dumb hoses. lol
I noticed on the stock hose I could put my hole pinky inside the hose. On these new hoses I can only barely stick the tip. Maybe thats my answer right there but I want to make sure.

You need 1/2" inner diameter hose... you can grab what you need at Lowes, it's clear with a weave inside you can see. It's a bit stiff; I've boiled water in the microwave for a couple of mins, dropped the pieces in the hot water for a minute, then they will go on easily. They work just fine, I've used it on 3 skis.
