My riding buddy was blowing up clutch every 30-35 hours on his ‘17 Fx Svho , dealer replaced them under warranty every time. His running stage two Riva set up , last time when we went on riding his blew his motor. 165 hours threw rod on #1 cylinder . Ski is still under warranty but because it was tuned Yamaha may decline warranty work. As for he’s waiting to hear back from dealer.

If Yamaha came out with a turbo setup right from the factory, I would consider buying one but not a aftermarket conversion. I do not have the time or the setup for a conversion.

Some Dealers can take a hard line to a ski having a tune and some do not.

It all depends on the relationship between the dealer and Yamaha.

So I got my clutch out and itís on the bench. No broken teeth.

2009 FZS. I donít think the clutch has ever been touched and it had 200hrs on it.

I know I need to upgrade as Iíve read they donít make the early clutch kits anymore. Iíve seen the link for the kit here https://www.4-tecperformance.com/ind...oducts_id=2084 but Iíve also found much cheaper parts from some online dealers.

to upgrade from the older version do I just need to buy the 2 parts in this diagram from any Yamaha dealer plus the gasket?

i just spend 725$ on a new fizzle then next day blew up the supercharger so trying to save money wherever I can.

can I just buy parts 15/17 from the best priced online Yamaha dealer? If so should I go with 2016 FZS?

    forgot to mention that

when i was using OEM SVHO wheel , i was turning 8600 rpm .

    so i wanted more , so i installed ET 17 .

took ski for a ride to log data , but nothing has changed same rpm 8600 and same speed .

ski felt like it was hesitating , so i checked the clutch and it was the problem.

all i can say this is a Failed up system that yamaha use for there superchargers .
