02 virage, I can’t get the drive shaft and impeller out !! Help!!
I have my 02 virage , trying to finish pulling my motor out of the chassis but I literlsly cannot get the drive shaft out. I disconnected the steering and reverse lines , and took out those 4 longgg bolts going into the chassis. Now I can’t get the impeller and drive shaft out. I’ve tried with a 2x4 with no success , am I missing something or what ?

Corroded. Spray some sort of penetrant at front of stator and before pump base. Let soak overnight. Could bang the sides with a rubber mallet.

Ditto... looks to be serious corrosion.
After you get it all apart dress up the joints.. don't use anything too abrasive as its aluminum... i used steel wool to clean everything up then use marine never seize (yes there is a difference) or Fluid Film or marine grease at the joints.
