Just sold my Sho and looking for something new . Iím wanting the vx ho 1800 but seem to be hard to come by they sell straight away before I get a chance to put offer in . Thereís a vx with tr1 engine how reliable are they compared to the mr1? Iím not to bothered about speed now as I only want it to take my little lad out on it . possibly tow a towable ect when he gets a bit older show how are these engines holding up ?

ps I keep looking at fzs svho but if I go down that route il end up getting remapped ect And Iím trying not to go down that route🤣🤣

    Love my Vx HO 1.8L
I do work on about 20 rental vx's with the Tr1's and half of them have done 1000 hours in 10 months, with no (big) problems ..
if you dont change oil enough it will kill itself quick.
pump bearings last 250-500 hours , but when they let go - the prop and shaft push forward ,pushing coupler(usually destroying it) and ripping motor off motor mounts..

I had a 16 VX deluxe and my friend has a 15 VX deluxe also. The MR1 is a quitter smoother running engine compared to the TR1. Out on the water I would have to shut it off just so we could talk. I even considered lining the engine compartment with anti noise padding that's used in racecars but I traded it in for a 19 Sea-doo GTX 155 and I can't say I'm very happy with it, but that's another story.
