Sorry I should have explained that better so yes the reed cages and reeds were from the 1300, but the intake plate that the 3 reed cages bolt onto was that the intake from your 1200 or was it from a 1300 as well?

We are using the stock 1200R intake. Everything bolts right up.

Was able to clean and check specs on the crank today. Big end side clearance, small end free play and crank width were all right in the middle of the ranges from the service manual. I then spun all the bearings to see if there was any noise or resistance and they all sounded really good and spun the same speed with minimal resistance. I spun the big ends as well and the rear spun exactly the same as the front/middle and they all sounded smooth.

What else should I check to ensure the crank is in good condition? I do plan to have it trued/welded but so far I think it appears to be in good condition. The ski does have 230 hours but I am not sure if this is the original crank or if some work has been done to the ski previously.

Starting to get the parts together for the build! Riva heads with Girdle kit and fresh paint, F/A's, Rideplate and Intake grate!

Waiting on the Pro-X pistons, was able to order 2 but the 3rd is still on backorder and I need to get the crank trued/welded.

Had a hell of a fight to get the stock prop off the shaft, broke a pipe wrench but it eventually loosened up, so I got the Solas 13/19 installed too!! Should I run with the Solas nose cone or leave it off, I saw a few posts that said to leave it off, which makes no sense to me but what do you recommend??

    Stock crank
    ProX pistons
Milled or Aftermarket head 91 octane
Stock Pipe with D Plate and Jetworks valve
    Riva Rideplate and Intake Grate
Stock Carbs with F/A's and accelerators disabled

Looking on the forum the best setup sounds to be:
125 Main jets 1-1/4 turn out on high speed adjusters
110 Pilot jets, 1 turn out on low speed adjusters.
1.5 Needle and Seat, 95 gram spring (Dull Silver) 42-45 avg. pop-off pressure

Does this jetting change if I am running at 3,000 feet of elevation?

Does the Mikuni Rebuild Kit MK-BN38/44 SPR include the 95g "dull silver" spring?

Anyone have a milled or aftermarket head they want to sell?
Hats off to you on the rebuild it doesn't seem like much work but it is and paying a shop is not an option here in Tampa, I had a cylinder run lean and detonate a hole in the piston and was going to do a rebuild but after all the time and money I have in it I believe it's time to walk away and trim the heard. I'll be parting out mine soon as I get privileges I have a Riva girdled head kit,low hr 66V cylinders w/eater clips and heep of other Riva and R&D bits and bobs if your in need. Goodluck with the build!
