    aftermarket tach recommendations

What kind of tach are you guys using for watching your RPM's? I used to have a PET I think it was. Still using that or is there something different you guys prefer using now?

If you have the Pet stick with that. Iíve been using mine on various skis for at least 20 years and still going

If you donít have it anymore I highly recommend one, though expensive they just plain work

I had the PET. It fogged up and crapped out after about 10 years. I don't remember how much it was but it seems like it was rather pricey. How much are they now? If that 20 dollar one works good.......seems like I couldn't go wrong. For 20 bucks I can afford to buy a new one every year.

The pet tac doesnt go bad every year, I have one that I bought used and no telling how old it was, but I had it for 4 years now, yes from time to time it gets a small fog but it goes away within a few mins.

I like how fast and reliable it is.

Maybe the 20 dollar will work as fast, just see how fast and accurate it is, I like the pet tac, because it can read within 20 rpms in change.

Tiny tachs are slow and do not update quick enough. Long lapse in readings. Get a PET and be done with it, if you want accurate numbers.

The Pet tac is also my choice. The earlier tiny tachs were OK but these new style ones that are orange are not worth a dime...
