Question Jet Pump and Stator ??

I have a 1995 SL 750 and over the weekend while out on the lake I had it seem to act like the drive line was slipping would over rev in the water and not move much.
I brought it back into shore to check that I had nothing in the intake and all was clear I put my hand in the outlet and noticed that the Jet pump feels like it is solid with the prop should they move separately ?

After looking I took back out and adjusted the trim and it seemed to do something all the sudden all was good and took off no other issues all day.
    SHOULD I BE WORRIED ??

I suspect you had some debris stuck against the impeller blades. Eventually it worked itself clear and was expelled form the jet pump.

Have a look at this link for lots of info and diagrams, including a jet pump section

Sea Weed, plastic bag, or something in the pump possibly.

You can also inspect the drive shaft splines on both ends for wear. Also look at the engine coupler for rubber shavings if you have that style. And check the splines in the solid coupler and impeller.

DO NOT put your finger into them. If you are stripped, you will most likely get a nasty steel splinter.

I went out last night a looked it over didn't see any rubber shavings so ill wait to inspect the drive line until later this fall when I am going to take apart and rebuild.

    Thank you

    SBT?

All the Polaris jet pumps 1994 through 2004 use the same jet pump rebuild parts.

Click here for more info, in the Jet Pump sections
