    This issue definitely isn't caused by the intake grate.
    Check your hose from your intercooler where it attaches to the throttle body. It's common for it to slip off some causing a boost leak.

    I had my seal pop out once when I didn’t have a ride plate bolt tightened all the way. Ski would only go 70 and bounced at full speed. Got that issue fixed and it was all good again. I’d be looking at the rubber seal. Cutting the fingers off may have allowed it to move

    Thank you, I was thinking the same thing. I am going to put the stock grate back on and buy a new seal.

    The Riva grate is faster. Don't put the stock grate back on.

    Can you use a Dremel rotary or similar tool to Cut into the filler material and create pockets for the OEM ride plate seal, so the factory seal fingers just nicely fit into place inside the Riva intake grate?

    I had to do something similar with R&D seal kit which also did not have cut-outs for the factory seal fingers. Once modified the factory seal fit snugly into the seal kit pockets and everything sealed up nicely.
