The 2021 Yamaha Waverunners are here!

We've been hearing the rumors all year about a new GP1800, well I'm pleased to say the rumors are true. It's here guys and I'm happy to introduce you to the new GP1800R SVHO and GP1800R HO

The new GP features an all new top deck design with deeper, wider, self draining footwells. This new top deck gives us much better rider ergonomics and a muscular looking performance inspired look. If you look at the side profile, it has styling cues that look to be a mix of the old GP1300R and the FZ, I absolutely love the look! The new seat is 1.5" narrower than previous years which improves knee grip and overall comfort, especially when charging into tight corners.

The new GP has enhanced acceleration and better hook up due to the new intake grate design and upgrades in the pump area. Yamaha has finally given us a true 160mm transom plate. As many of you are aware, any previous SVHO ski had a 155mm transom plate giving us a 5mm ridge where the transom plate met the 160mm wear ring/liner. Guys, I cannot tell you how much difference the grate and larger transom plate have made over the 2017-2020 GP's. This ski rockets off a hard launch and the mid range acceleration is insane. It is a very notable difference over the previous years. Of course, these changes greatly improve hookup also.
Here's a couple of pictures showing the differences over the 2019-2020 grate vs the 2021 grate

Yamaha made a smart move and they placed the fuel tank further back 88mm and it sits lower in the hull moving the center of gravity down and more aft giving the ski a lighter and more responsive feel. Anyone that has spent any amount of time on the previous GP will notice this improvement in handling right away.

One of my favorite features is the new adaptable steering system with tilt adjustable exposed design handlebars. We are talking a HUGE improvement over the handlebars of the previous model years.

Yamaha still gives us the RiDE throttle control system on the GP platform. RiDE is very intuitive and makes maneuvering in tight spaces and around the dock stress free. Squeeze the right handlebar lever to go forward, squeeze the left lever for reverse. At speed, the left lever acts as a brake and slows you down. It couldn't be easier!
For 2021, Yamaha has taken RiDE one step further with "Drive Control!" Drive Control gives us an Auto Trim feature with cornering control and launch control. This is an industry first. This upgrade is only available on the GP1800R SVHO and GP1800R HO models. Auto trim works independently from the electric trim control on the handlebars. When Drive Control is activated, when turning the bars into a corner, and lifting off the throttle a little bit to set the bow for a hard turn, the nozzle automatically trims down, driving you harder through the turn, as you straighten the bars to accelerate out of the corner the nozzle trims up automatically for you. When you come to a stop, the nozzle trims all the way down for you to make sure you are ready for your next launch. These functions happen automatically to bring new levels of handling and performance riding to racer and recreational riders alike. This feature makes a good rider a GREAT rider and it's all done electronically using the skis RiDE system. I want to note, that you still have the ability to adjust trim up and down manually while in Drive Control mode.

Not only does the new GP give us better performance and handling, this new design gives us 15% increased storage capacity. It also features an upgraded high strength plastic hinge and damper on the hood assembly. If you need even more storage space, the storage capacity under the seat is larger and comes with a water resistant box for clothing and valuables that need to stay dry.

The 2021 GP comes with the new 4.3" Connext Helm Control color display. A touch pad control that is mounted next to the steering column provides convenient access to the Connext systems many functions that include a PIN code security system that eliminates the need for an external remote fob. This new system has DRIVE Control that allows the rider to set the top speed at different increments along with setting the acceleration curve from normal to slow.

For the first time ever, the GP now has an available factory installed custom integrated marine audio system with twin 4.5" fully waterproof marine speakers and a integrated 2 channel (50 watts per channel) amplifier. Easy access control pad and integrated low voltage regulatory to protect the battery. The audio system will shut itself off before the battery gets too low to restart the ski. The sound system sounds great! It's plenty loud enough to hear it clearly at cruising speeds and it easily connected to my phone with BlueTooth in seconds.

And more BIG news from Yamaha for the stand up enthusiasts. Yamaha has given us an all new four stroke SuperJet stand up.

I knew about this ski for a few years, but this was the first time I got to see it up close and personal and must say it's smaller than I expected. While still larger than the previous SuperJet, Yamaha did a great job of keeping it as small as possible.

SuperJet technology has come a long way since it's first introduction thirty years ago when Yamaha released the 650 SuperJet. Ever since then, the iconic SuperJet has rewarded the physical ability and athleticism of the best professional surf riders, freestylers and closed course racers in the world.

For 2021, the SuperJet returns all new from the ground up to challenge a new generation of standup riders with a torquey 4 stroke engine and nimble performance hull that is 142 pounds lighter and 8.8" shorter than it's competition. No longer reserved for professional racers and requiring a racing license, the 2021 SuperJet will find appeal with a wide audience including the race community but also among recreational riders looking for a new thrill. This includes aging tricksters who will find the aestheticism and excitement of riding the new SuperJet to be a similar challenge as wake surfing, which sees continued interest and growth among this audience.

This ski features an all new, ground up design making it easier to ride for a new generation of stand up enthusiasts.
It's powered by the TR-1 Yamaha 4 stroke marine engine and makes a whopping 100 HP in stock condition. The GreenHulk Store already has MaptunerX tunes for this engine boosting power even more, and it does so reliably. This powerplant is a torque monster and gives exhilarating acceleration that standup riders love throughout the engine RPM range.

Feeding the Tr-1 engine is a larger 5 gallon fuel tank that provies plenty of range for the standup rider and there is an easy to read low fuel meter placed conspicuously on the deck.

For novice riders, there is now a L-Mode that reduces engine performance of the SuperJet to 85 percent or approximately 40 miles per hour. Low RPM Mode is activated and deactivated easily by pressing the Engine stop/L-MODE button three times.

The design goal for Yamaha engineers was to keep the original SuperJet riding experience alive in a new 4 stroke model. To do that Yamaha needed to keep the size and weight of the new standup as close to it's 2 stroke predecessor as possible. The deck and hull of the new SuperJet is 7.5 inches longer, 3.2 inches wider, and 5.1 inches taller than the previous 2 stroke SuperJet. Amazingly, the new 4 stroke model is only 69 pounds heavier than the 2 stroke version and makes a whopping 100 HP versus the 2 stroke SuperJet's 73 HP.

One of my favorite things about this new SuperJet is the three position adjustable handlepole. This is easily adjusted to fit your size and riding style. The handlepole can extend up to 50mm for taller riders. This new hull features race inspired handlebars and a wide padded foot tray with an integrated reboarding holder.

The new SuperJet hull is designed for greater static and dynamic stability while maintaining the SuperJet's thrilling turning abilities. To do that, the turn angle of the adjustable steering nozzle can be set at either 16, or 19 degrees to fit your riding style.

For new buyers looking for a more physically challenging, athletic riding experience that only a standup watercraft can deliver, the all new SuperJet is a great choice. For standup riders that want four stroke power and reliability without compromises, the 2021 SuperJet is the perfect choice.

Introducing All-New VX Series and New VX Limited HO Flagship

    • All-new stylish deck design with deeper, wider, self-draining footwells and enhanced rider ergonomics.
    • New multi-mount system for accessory integration
    • Factory installed, custom integrated marine audio system with 4.5” speakers and amplifier (available as option)
    • Increased storage capacity at the bow, glovebox, and under the seat.
    • New 4.3” Connext Helm Control with multi-color LCD display.
    • All-new VX Limited HO flagship model with 1.8L engine and full accessory package.
The Yamaha VX Series is renowned for being the best-selling personal watercraft in the history of the boating industry. In fact, the Yamaha VX Cruiser HO, with its 1.8L Yamaha marine engine, is the best-selling personal watercraft model for the past two years.
Why? The answer is simple. Buyers are attracted to the VX Series’ class-leading performance, versatility, and value that is offered in a smaller, lighter package compared to the flagship Yamaha FX® Series, while still sharing many of the same industry-first features and innovations that make the FX Series the best-selling luxury models today.
New Deck Design with Enhanced Rider Ergonomics and Greater Storage Capacity
For 2021, the Yamaha VX Series is all-new above the water line. The new deck design delivers improved ergonomics with deeper, wider, self-draining footwells and a new seat profile that is 1.5” narrower. This new seat design improves knee grip and overall comfort, especially for smaller size riders.
The new watertight glovebox is massive with LED lighting inside. In fact, it’s the largest glovebox we’ve offered in the category today. There is a dedicated area for your smartphone, and a USB port and 12V power outlet too (except for the base model VX and VX-C).
At the bow, the storage compartment opening is expanding for easier access with a dedicated area for Yamaha’s innovative accessory cooler bag. It also features an upgraded, durable design with high strength plastic hinge and damper. And for those riders that need even more storage space, the storage capacity under the seat is larger and comes with a water resistant box for clothing and valuables that need to stay dry.

    Factory Installed Integrated Speaker Option

For the first time ever, Yamaha is offering dealers the choice of ordering VX Series WaveRunners (except for the base model VX and VX-C) with a factory-installed, custom integrated marine audio system. The package includes twin, 4½ inch fully waterproof marine speakers, integrated 2 channel (50 watts per channel) amplifier, easy access control pad and an integrated low-voltage regulator to protect the battery.

New 4.3” Connext Helm Control with Color LCD Display
The VX Series, except for the base model VX and VX-C, now features modern dash instrumentation including Yamaha’s 4.3” Connext Helm Control with a multi-color LCD display.
A touchpad control that is mounted next to the steering column provides convenient access to the Connext system’s many functions. These include a PIN code security system that eliminates the need for an external remote fob, and DRIVE Control that allows the VX Series owner to set top speeds at different increments along with settings. Also, acceleration can be set on the VX HO models from normal to slow.

Yamaha’s Award Winning RiDE® Dual Throttle Control System
Featured on all Yamaha VX models (except the VX-C) is Yamaha’s award-winning RiDE dual throttle control system that makes maneuvering in tight spaces and around the dock stress-free.

Squeeze the right handlebar lever to go forward. Squeeze the left lever for reverse. At speed, the left handlebar lever will also slow you down. Release both the right and left levers and the watercraft is in neutral. RiDE is renowned as the most intuitive throttle control system available today.

Two Award-Winning Engines to Choose From
The VX Series is available with Yamaha’s 1.8L four-cylinder High Output engine (Yamaha VX Limited HO and Yamaha VX Cruiser® HO) or Yamaha 1049cc three-cylinder TR-1® HO engine (Yamaha VX Limited, VX Cruiser, VX Deluxe, VX), or TR-1 engine (Yamaha VX-C). Both of these engines deliver class-leading performance, fuel efficiency and reliability.

The TR-1 HO engine is a more powerful variation of the base TR-1 engine that powers some EX Series models, VX-C and the 2021 SuperJet stand-up.
These compact, lightweight four-stroke engines are fuel-efficient and require low maintenance.

    High-Performance Hull Design
Under the waterline, the VX Series shares the same high-performance hull shape as the race-ready GP Series that is renowned for its precise, confidence-inspiring handling derived from Yamaha’s racing domination on the close course. This hull is also designed for static and dynamic stability that makes riding with multiple passengers and towing more fun.

All Yamaha hulls and decks are manufactured to precise tolerances using high-compression SMC (Sheet Molded Compound) fiberglass molding. The VX Limited HO, VX Cruiser HO, VX Limited, VX Deluxe hulls feature Yamaha’s lightweight NanoXcel SMC material, while the VX and VX-C comes with standard SMC.

It is worth noting that Yamaha hulls and decks are considered Class A surfaces, which is an automotive term for a smooth, high-quality surface. This Class A surface allows Yamaha to offer metallic paint colors that the other brands cannot.

All-New VX Limited HO with 1.8L Yamaha High Output Marine Engine
New for 2021 is the Yamaha VX Limited HO that joins the VX Cruiser HO as the only two VX models powered by the Yamaha 1.8L normally-aspirated marine engine.

The VX Limited HO comes with the same upgrades and watersports accessories that are packaged with the TR-1 powered VX Limited to include two factory installed integrated speakers, single-rider tube, tube inflator, tube holder, tow rope, tow rope bag, 12V outlet, custom cover with glove box access and two fenders.

Joining the VX Limited HO are the returning VX Cruiser HO, VX Limited, VX Cruiser, VX Deluxe, VX, and VX-C.

For the buyer looking for versatility and value in a high-quality, full-featured mid-size package, the VX Series is a great choice. For the mid-size PWC buyer unwilling to compromise on reliability and durability, the Yamaha VX Series is the only choice.

Introducing the all-new EX Limited complete with exclusive Yamaha watersports, audio, and storage accessories

Yamaha is redefining “entry-level” with its EX Series WaveRunners that share the same DNA and high-quality craftmanship as the more expensive, full-featured watercraft that Yamaha offers, but are packaged smaller in size and lighter in weight for a fun, playful experience that the whole family can enjoy.
And unlike its competitors in the Rec Lite category, the EX Series is designed to take you anywhere you want to go with class-leading engine performance, true three-passenger seating, unmatched stability, durable SMC fiberglass hull and deck, large fuel capacity, and extra storage capacity.

    All New “Limited” EX Model
Joining the EX Series in 2021 is the new EX Limited that comes loaded with fun, value-added watersports, audio, and storage accessories that include two waterproof wireless Bluetooth Speakers, single-rider tube, tube inflator, tube holder, tow rope, tow rope bag, fixed bow mounted dry storage, 12V outlet, custom cover with glove box access and two fenders.
And because the EX Limited is specifically designed for watersports fun and multiple passengers onboard when towing, the EX Limited is fitted with wider sponsons for enhanced dynamic stability.
Returning to the EX line is the performance EXR, the #1 choice for closed-course Rec Lite competition that comes with the more powerful Yamaha TR-1 marine engine and lighter weight NanoXcel 2 SMC fiberglass hull and deck.
Also returning are the family favorite EX Deluxe that features Yamaha’s RiDE throttle control system that makes maneuvering in tight spaces and around the dock a cinch, the watersports-accommodating EX Sport that comes with a convenient tow eye, reboarding ladder, and dual mirrors, and the simplified EX that is Yamaha’s most affordable WaveRunner.

    Yamaha TR-1 Marine Engine
The EX Series shares the same award-winning, three-cylinder Yamaha TR-1 marine engine except for the EXR that features the addition of a modified engine control unit (ECU) that increases horsepower by 10 percent.
This compact, lightweight 1049cc four-stroke engine is fuel-efficient, low maintenance, and most importantly, it is the most reliable and durable engine in the Rec Lite class.
    Performance Hull Design
Under the waterline, the EX Series shares a stable, yet playful hull design that is manufactured to precise tolerances. In fact, all Yamaha hulls and decks are so exact they are considered Class A surfaces, which is an automotive term for a smooth, high-quality surface with curves. And because Yamaha hulls and decks are the only Class A surfaces available today, Yamaha is the only manufacturer that can offer exciting metallic paint combinations that look amazing on and off the water. And this year, we have new bright hull and deck colors.

The EX hull delivers excellent stability for two or three-up riding and towing, and provides precise responsiveness and predictability when riding solo. As one might expect, the EXR comes with the addition of a performance top-loader intake grate and 40mm jet pump extension that boosts acceleration response and delivers a top speed of around 52mph.

    RiDE Throttle Control System
Featured on the EX Limited, EXR, and EX Deluxe is Yamaha’s award-winning RiDE dual throttle control system that makes maneuvering in tight spaces and around the dock more intuitive and stress-free.
Squeeze the right handlebar lever to go forward. Squeeze the left lever for reverse. At speed, the left handlebar lever will also slow you down. Release both the right and left levers and the watercraft is in neutral.
For buyers looking for a WaveRunner that is smaller in size, lighter in weight, easy on the purse strings, the Yamaha EX Series is a great choice. For Rec Lite buyers that also want to discover new places to ride beyond the confines of protective coves, the EX Series is the only choice.

Engine Type: 4-stroke, 3-cylinder, 1.0L TR-1 Yamaha marine engine (EXR features High Output TR-1 Marine Engine)
