    15f waterbox coupling corrosion repair

Any suggestion on how to repair a corroded water box coupling? The picture isnít mine but represents similar corrosion. A replacement waterbox is not an option for me.

There is a stainless insert inside the corroded aluminum ring that you could pop out and measure to cut a solid aluminum part as a replacement for the whole end assembly.

Alternatively, you could media blast the end, slather it in epoxy and run it until you get a leak.

Pretty much every waterbox ends up looking like that, I wouldn't sweat it if its not leaking.

Ok, thanks for the info. I’ll clean it up best I can and jb weld that sucker up with the slow setting stuff.
