    More RXT 260 Codes

    My machine is a 2015 RXT 260
What’s the tps reading supposed to be on the BUDS system?

Just replaced the MAP sensor as it was throwing a 1607 code last month. Only had 3 hrs riding time on it now it’s throwing all kinds of codes ffs.
While in the water it was Idling speratic like its surging from 1800-2200.
Just started it up when I got home to flush it now it’s idling at 2400-2500

Your TB is working flawless? With engine off it’s following the movement of the RH lever?
Seen this erratic idle before and at first we thought it was the MAP also but it turned out to be a hard spot in the TB. Also whole bunch alarms.

Yes we did a sweep while on the BUDS and it’s reading as should. I’m going to take the handle bar controls apart next and grease those levers in there.
I took the Throttle bodies off and cleaned them although they were spotless. Checked all hoses for any tears and all good. Clamps are all tight.

    More RXT 260 Codes

Also have a look on the big connecter under the steering.
Seen small points of corrosion there as well on the female side of connector.
For me it was related to P060D if I remember correct (also TAS)

Always like to update my threads Incase anyone else is searching for similar issues.
Had some time this morning to trouble shoot the machine.
Tried starting it and no go, that’s a change since last week where it would Idle a little rough with the engine light remaining on.
So changed out the throttle Bodies with No change. It’s back firing and just turning over not starting.

Cleaned off the 3 grounds on the front of the engine block as well as used air to blow out all sensors.
Now waiting on a TOPS, TAS and MAP sensor to arrive and will try one at a time.

Missing out on some amazing weather for riding as it’s one of the best Summers we’ve had

Still have my P0122 and P0107 codes.
Can someone tell me what this sensor is ?
I downloaded/paid for a service manual from BRP manuals and currently searching for that connector on my pic.

I ordered the TAS but they got me the TAS assembly. But I don’t think that sensor is bad.

I switched that with the IBR sensor and the code still exists and machine will not start.
The sensor I am pointing I believe is causing a code on the ECU based on my testing. So wtf is going on here ?

I replaced the MAP sensor just now for the 2nd time and it’s not the problem.
When we pull that connector out while connected to the BUDS system no new codes come up so it has to be the one causing the code.

That is not a good picture due to lighting, use the flash on your phone next time.

There are 3 connections in that location:
    1. CAPS - Camshaft Position Sensor
    2. CPS - Crankshaft Position Sensor
    3. TOPS - Tip Over Protection Switch

    http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=287930

This link has pics of the TOPS rotated 90* in the wrong location which will cause the ski NOT to start, due to the hall sensor not being horizontal. Make sure that is not the case with your situation. Look in your Shop Manual for each sensor to see proper location and correct orientation.

I believe you are pointing to the CPS, the other end should be at 7 o clock on the PTO housing.

    Thanks for the response.
I didn’t take anything off there so it can’t be upside down or in the wrong position.
I am wondering why when connected to the BUDS System, and I unplug that connector no other codes come up?
The wires from that connector in the pic run back into the harness.
I am thinking MAYBE the wire/plug coming off the TAS assembly may be bad?
I am going to try and swap that out tomorrow.

I have the TAS and MAP fault codes still.

Just went out and snapped a couple better pics. So what is this device attached to the side of the engine where these connectors go into?

Look at post 3 in the link I posted earlier from the Shop Manual.
