    I need to take that back, I haven't retested the low voltage since I put the new stator in.

    So checking the AC again we are not getting anything out of the 2-11 pins OHMs or AC. The 1-12 pins were 8.0 and the rest were 5.4

    Well, if the connector contacts are not bent/broken inside the connector and the wires are not damaged, then the stator is no good.

    Is it common to get a faulty stator?

    I've never purchased a new unit and have only replaced one. So I don't have any direct experience to base an opinion upon. That being said, if it is a made in China stator---that should say it all. After all, they can't even get the connector pin out/phasing correct. I'm not a fan of made in China anything.

    Well unfortunately I can't blame it on anyone but myself! I took it all apart last night and found that I must not got the wire harness tight / secure in the assembly and the flywheel teeth must have hit a couple wires and broke / cut them. So; I now need to get them fixed and try again. I will report back when I get it all put back together.

    There is a metal retainer bracket that holds the harness away from the flywheel.

    I got the stator put back in and the readings are;

    7.7
    7.8
    5.1
    5.1
    5.4

    Do you still think the stator is still defective?

    Do you still think the stator is still defective?
    Why would we presume the stator is Ďstill badí after you just fixed it?

    Do check the wire pattern at the 12-pin stator connector. China manufactured Ficht stators often have a couple of wires swapped at the connector, which will cause problems.
