Starter Rear bolt stuck 97 GTX
Hello gang,
trying to remove 97 GTX starter to swap into my 97 XP. Front two bolts are out. Rear bolt will not accept a 6mm alan. 5.5 is too small. Pics show something inside head of bolt.

Looks like some jackleg broke a tool off in it. I would try smacking it with a punch and hammer, then try twisting it out with vise grips.........good luck!

Yep 2nd the vice grips. I had a similar situation on an ATV carb and used a dremel to cut two notches in each side. Then removed it with a flat head screwdriver. This made it easier to get in and out in the future.
