How long ago in calendar time was the charger rebuilt and first run?

At a minimum, check & reset slip if needed. Go ride and enjoy the wind therapy!

    hey thanks for your response

Ordinarily @ 25 hours i did expect charger would be fine , but when bearing let go , metal filings went into oil, could this damage the bearings/ internals etc in charger ?

prior to engine failure , Ski sat unused for 12 months ,( charger had 25 hours at that point ) , took out for ride for a an hour and then engine bearing let go ...
    engine now rebuilt awaiting charger....
charger build was less than 2 years - fresh water ski ...

The plastic race cage material inside the bearings apparently degrades chemically with exposure to engine oil. This is why supercharger rebuilds are recommended every two calendar years regardless of hours, is my understanding.

In your case you might consider rebuilding the supercharger now just so the ‘clock’ is reset on everything to match the rebuilt engine. Or have it done this coming winter, if you are comfortable with running the ‘less than 2 years old’ bearings.
