    155 4tec - internals vs supercharger 4tec

Have a 2010 tx project - need an engine , spun bearing
In my search for parts I be come across a Hull damaged 155
itís a 2018 - low hour engine that has no issues
can I use this as a donor , bolt up my manifolds, charger Etc and b good to go

What other bits would I need to changeover ?? are they the same internally???

Being NA, the pistons are cast, not forged and probably higher compression.

so you are saying ,change pistons ,pto housing, gears on flywheel and gasket set .if you plan on going fast ,arp bolts, springs and retainers

Go for it. Make sure there is enough piston to wall clearances if you replace the cast stock pistons with stock 215/255/260 forged pistons and rings.. Don't forget the machine shop costs if the clearances aren't presently to large. Let us know how many hours you get out of it..?

Im litterally doing the same thing you are, except I started with a 185. Blocks are the same. Needs new PTO cover, forged pistons, ECM, Injectors, Flywheel among other things

Why would you need machine work? Are the pistons different sizes between the forged and non forged?

The pistons would need to be changed. The machine work is to fit the new pistons. Forced induction requires a lower compression ratio to prevent failure.
