Right. That 2-stroke outboard oil won't be a problem with your ski.

    I didn't think so either.
I'll update once I've got the carbs apart/rebuilt.

I was able to get one apart easily. Other one has striped screws on metal block that sits above the jets. The screws on the other carb held up just fine and came out almost immediately. Gonna have to get a special tool to get the striped ones out. Any idea where I can get replacement screws? Assuming they arent a universal size lol

Edit-found a seller on ebay who makes all the screws. And he guarantees they wont strip. I'll give em a try.

That's a great find on the USA made Mikuni replacement bolts/screws. $8.10 each if you buy two sets. Not bad at all!

Got them out. Just drilled the heads off and then they unthreaded by hand. Bizarre but whatever.
Ordered replacement gasket and hardware. Going to pick up a bucket of carb cleaner to let the parts soak in next weekend. Not a fan of the spray cleaner for these small parts.

I'm sure the bucket of cleaner will do a good job. I'm still going to recommend that you use the spray cleaner the way I described to make 100% sure the low speed outlet and bypass holes are clear. Those bypass holes are so small that I'm not sure the bucket of cleaner will dissolve through the clog if they are clogged. If that low speed outet and/or bypass holes are not clear, you will bog off the line.

outboard oil and 40:1 had nothing to do with anything. That's every time my highly modded ski runs, with some avgas thrown in for good measure haha.
