Anyone have the Polk Ausdio db651,s?
I am looking at the polk speakers and I want to know if the difference in price is worth it for the MMC650's over the DB651's?
Also How about the DB675's? They will fit in my holes aswell.
Please let me know.
Also how much cleaner are the polks in a boat?
I will have 1 Rockford amp to push them and want a clear nice sound.

I am running the DB675s.. you have to cut the holes bigger, it isnt easy, but is worth it.. the sound difference over stock is just plain amazing..
I am running the speakers off of my DUAL head unit and they are loud and clean.. i can hear them clearly at WOT..
I couldnt imagine how loud they would be with an amp..
I definitly recommend adding a 10" subwoofer,,, Either a JL or a Clarion.. BOth only require 150 watts RMS and both sound awsome..

I have the DB521's in a GTX SC. Sound really good. I compared them to a wide range of speakers before purchase. Ended up buying at car domain.com for I think $76 with shipping. I have them wired to a Boss head unit (I know it is crap but It had a waterproof wired remote, front aux input, RCA outs, and MP3 support - so exactly what I needed and it turned out to be much better quality than I thought and works perfect). Also have a 10" amplified marine bazooka sub in the storage compartment, along with a Rockford Fosgate amp running the DB521's. Had to modify the lid to the front storage in order to allow some of that wonderful deep bass to excape but still not let water in. All in all it sounds excellent and turns heads. Plenty loud as well with the RF amp running things.
I am going to hook up a set of those stick on's I found here on the boards to see if I can push even more sound. Will post again when they come in.
If someone tells me how to attach pics I will post some.
Oh, and I'm new here and I have to say this board is one of the best I have found. Thank's all, for the great info. I am hooked on performace thanks to this board!Last edited by dochere195; 06-18-2007 at 08:34 AM.

I went for just 1 pair of the db651's as not much input and the price is right.
I just want a nice clean sound when we are hanging out.
