    Deans Level 5 Cruise Tune

I have a 2018 Fx SVHO with a 19 pound compressor wheel, 1000 Cc fuel injectors, 60 psi fuel pressure, and again deans level five cruise tune.

Sometimes the ski exhibit problems when I let off the throttle abruptly and the engine will stumble and at times stalls it has new spark plugs and other than that the engine runs fine. I don’t have a way of checking air fuel mixture, but I think it is running rich on idle. My thinking is the fuel pressure may be a bit high, does anybody have any thoughts on this? Is the fuel pressure too high.Hope all of you are having a great Fourth of July,

    Respectfully
    CJ

Without an AFR gauge you are just guessing.

you are right...but I was going to go by someone who has made an adjustment based on the described setup that I have and has made an adjustment to their fuel pressure.

    thanks

Each ski is different along with location and atmospheric conditions...

So I took the ski out for a ride on the lake and before I did I adjusted the fuel pressure to 56 psi. That seems to solve the problem with the stalling on abrupt de-acceleration and the engine is running much smoother on idle with no more stalling .Tomorrow morning I’ll pull the plugs out and inspect them. My altitude here on the lake is 200 feet above sea level with 70% relative humidity at 93F ambient and water temperature at 84F.

Hope all have a safe holiday and be safe on the water.

Doing what the Old-timers did to check their engine`s AFR...2018 Fx SVHO with a 19 pound compressor wheel makes about 15 -16 psi -of boost @ 8,000, 1,000 Cc fuel injectors, 60 psi fuel pressure, 8,000 rpm limit and again deans level five cruise tune.

This morning I pulled the new plugs out after 3 hours of running yesterday, look to be in the normal range of color. I reinstalled them and will go out on the lake and will take a couple of runs with it. Afterwards head to the shoreline and pull the plugs out on the dock to check their color.

My problem must be all the heat and humility related that was causing the stalling and rough idle.

I went from 60 psi to 56 psi.

    Take Care

Just for kicks I hooked the ski to a Sun Emission tester and got a reading of 350ppm HC at the ski was running perfect yesterday. I think I have to lean it a bit in the summer months.
