It's possible your stock prop is over-pitched. You can de-pitch the trailing edge a 1į or so (search for how-to) or send it to impros or Glenn @ Skat Trak. Also look for ways to get more air into the hull so you'll RPM's will increase. Heat/humidity will easily rob 200-300 RPM's during the summer.

I ran with the seats and cover off the other day and broke 7800 rpm/75 dash for a second and haven't seen it since I had the seat off so that makes sense. It has also been 90ish degrees here lately and a fair amount of humidity. Thanks for the advice, I will start working towards that stuff.

Now in the 80s i am only able to get 66 mph and 7700 rpm max. This is my last year with the sled and am ordering a new one as warranty will expire, May try a power filter kit from RIVA on the next one but itís defiantly frustrating And noticeable losing 5mph with summer temps. My old 260px did the same thing.

will check for exhaust leak now, great idea and makes sense! Oil level is good. Wear ring is perfect.
Took the seat off for a test today with 1/2 a tank gas in humid 88 degrees: seat on was 66mph tops and seat off was 67mph tops. Doesnít seem to be an exhaust leak or general cool air intake issue to explain why my scom speed dropped from 71 to 66. Guess Iíll just have to wait for 60s and less humidity to see if it wants to go 71 again.

Glen isnt at Skat Trak anymore. He owns Impros now.

And today I’m down to 60 mph. Full boost showing, just runs like a dog. Has 90 hours, just ordered spark plugs and will start there as it’s 3-4 weeks to get into a dealer right now.

I am up to 10.6 hours. Did a speed run by myself, calm water...Tops out at 69 mph at 7600rpm. Then, my wife and I went For a ride...Tops out at 68 mph at 7600 rpm. If someone figures out the issue... please let me know...and I will do the same. I think a tune maybe on order soon.

I was debating on the tune as well. Im waiting for the weather here to cool down a bit but I really can’t imagine it being that big of a factor. Weird that a few of us seem to have the exact same issue.

I haven’t tried plugs yet. Trust me though, I feel your pain. 60 is real bad though wonder if it’s supercharger or impeller related.
