    1995 Polaris SLT 750 no spark.

    Hi! I've got a Polaris SLT 750 with no spark. ..
    I fluked everything out and found an open between the red/white & green/red wire open. It should have 490 ohms resistance. I replaced the stator and with 1 min of cranking the new stator again shows open on the same wires.. I also picked up another Polaris SL 750 with NO spark and that unit is also showing open on the red/white & green/red..
    this might sound dumb but is the Exciter coil necessary for spark?
    Are the any know remedies?

    What model and year did you replace net stator come from?

    Did you check the replacement stator coil ohms before and after installing the stator?

    The exciter coil is required for the Fuji engine ignition, that is where the energy to power the CDI and spark comes from

    The stator came out of the same year and model 1995 SLT 750.
    Yes I tested the stator before buying it. It showed 486 ohms resistance on the red/white & green /red wires. Now its like .3 k ohms.

    Those are almost the same resistance measurement.

    Switch your Fluke meter to ohms from K ohms and remeasure. Hopefully it will be close to your initial 486 ohm result.
