Also, i have read that oil dipstick reading should not be too high, mine does go above the full line a bit. So changing oil and filter next.
Does anyone know which aspects of the oil system can cause the overheat beep and 1520 code? Oil pressure switch? Regulator?

    thx

this is looking like another case of a clogged jetport water outlet screen. you can't feed these things weeds and muck too often, they don't play well.

pull the pump, you'll find the water inlet screen ( you can see if after you remove the impeller, and on some skis it can be accessed from the outside of the pump.

you can also work with some water and compressed air intot he water outlet on the back of the jetpump

flushing doesn't get much water into that particular area.

Thank you. I am familiar with pulling the pump, but don't recall coming across an outlet screen. do you know where it is on my 2007 GTI SE?
Is it the 2 holes on top next to the pressure thing?

remove #5, that is where the cooling water is tapped off the pump output

Changed the oil, it needed it bad.
Replaced the wear ring, it had a hole in it and was loose(actually fell out on its own. lol
Replace some o-rings in the jet pump too.
Ski ran great for about a week, now i am back getting the P1520 code OIL lamp after riding for 5 min.
Both a month ago, and this time, both problems came on right after pulling my son in the tube.
Before it seemed it was overheating, but after the oil change and the wear ring change, i think the open cooling system is working because it is not hot anymore.
I am about to change the Oil Pressure Switch, as it is only $35 and looks easy to get to.
I'm open for any other suggestions at this point. Thanks
    Joe
