    2018 GP1800 wont go pass 7000RPM

Rode the ski for an hour today and all was great then all of a sudden wouldn't go pass 6000 RPM. Messed around with it a bit and it would go up to 7000 RPM but then drop to 6000 and jump back up to around 7000. Brought it home and checked all hoses for boost leak and nothing. Plugs are good, oil good. SC was good too. Ski only has 40hrs and never had an issue. Anyone have an idea what this might be?

    Riva stage 1 tune
    ribbon delete
    solos prop
    engine breather upgrade
    engine cooling upgrade

Did you see any water in the spark plug wells? Well Merk, if everything checks out okay, I would replace the plugs first. These engines eat up plugs.

no water in the plug wells. The plugs only have 7-8hrs on them. Can they go bad that fast? 3rd season on the ski and never had a plug issue but not sure where else to look. Thanks

I would replace them first, if they are not the problem you have a spare set on hand so it will not be a waste of money. The spark plugs are parts that wear and could fail on you at any time.

The SC Shaft is a 2 Piece construction.... so when the wheel spins on the Shaft it feels like a Boost Leak...
You can Upgrate for the Riva 1 Piece Shaft....expensice i know but save..... when the shaft break then you will get an big invoice for Parts
