    2005 Ultra 150 Engine Rebuild

I have my engine torn down, crated up and ready to ship. Who would you guys recommend for a complete rebuild with modifications to be done during rebuild?

It's a bad time of year to be sending an engine off for repair. You haven't even made arrangements with anyone yet?

I'd recommend that you do it yourself.

What do you want to have done to it?

Steve, i know it's a bad time of year, but i still have 4 others to ride. My son rode this one oil line popped off blew # 3 piston cylinder and head also the crank is seized. I am not real concerned with turn around time. I had long conversations with Steve at Skiworx, and was set to send to him as he as done all my work since 2002, but i sent several emails last nigh and called this morning to make sure he and i were on the same page. No contact made. Being in the HVAC industry right now i just don't have the time to do this project. I guess i could wait until winter when all things slow down as i am in no hurry. I was looking for a running ski and was going to purchase that and drop the engine in my 05 but can't find one close. North Carolina and Mass is as close as i have found.

Understand. There aren't enough hours in the day!

I would highly recommend that you do a little searching around here for Skiworx. I've sent stuff to him in the past and service was slow. Now, it's virtually non-existent. But, don't take my word for it.

I've used Full Bore a couple of times. They did OK, but it took a long time--even in the winter.

You're not the only one that lost an oil line, one fell off of my nephew's 150 last weekend. He just got the 'Ski from another friend of mine and he had upgraded the hose, but re-used the OEM clips.

Where in Texas are you? I see Ultra 150s on Craigslist all the time.

Dilts, there was an Ultra150 not long ago on the Little Rock or Jonesboro Craigslist. That's a day trip.

Steve I am in Beaumont, i have been searching everywhere for either an Ultra or STX-R either one would get me what i want. I went through craigslist from New Mexico to North Carolina. Found one in NC but cant the the shipping package i need to make it worth while. I have read 80 % of the posts on here about Skiworx. As a matter of fact as soon as i posted this thread Steve called.
