SBT sells rebuilt engines that contain Chinese parts and cracked, welded up crankcases. They replace Nikasil plated cylinders with steel sleeves that don't dissipate heat properly. They also require a 'usable core'. There are numerous examples on this site of SBT engines that are missing parts, assembled incorrectly, etc.

They cater to people that want to get rid of their old junk PWC and need a running engine to sell it. You get a 2-year warranty, but they don't pay any labor or shipping.

Guys Iím back! So the person I bought ski from refunded me half money! That was a surprise. I am back in process of rebuilding engine. I secured a new cylinder head, cam and piston. Right now everything is apart and being cleaned. Will begin building back up in a few weeks when I have all gaskets, sealers.etc.

Wow! I'm really happy to hear that you got half of your money refunded. That really takes a lot of the sting out of this bad deal.

How about some pictures of the ski, engine and engine compartment?

Thank you for posting the pictures of your ski. The body of the ski looks good and the trailer looks good, too.

    Wonderful!

You really can't guarantee that something that old won't have problems. Sounds like the seller is really trying to be reasonable. Hope you get it running soon!
