2000 GP800 - Just the green start button...

    Hey All!

Does anyone know if you can buy just the plastic green cap portion of the start/stop assembly? Mine is missing (but it still starts and stops fine) and dropping $60 on a full used assembly seems excessive. Searched everywhere but can't seem to locate just the green cap.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

try a good old time hardware store, you might luck out and find something suitable for hackage. or perhaps you can find somebody who can make you one with a 3d printer ( for about $60)

you can buy the red plastic covers used for the seadoo start stop switch for a few bucks, the might work out with some carefully applied silicon sealer.

Thanks. I ordered one of the Seadoo red caps so we'll see if I can hack around it but would really prefer the stock green button. OCD is kicking in

there may be a proper little nub on the backside of the cap top start with depending who you get it from. you can always go with some green vinyl over the red if you can't take the stress

or you can go full hacker shade tree with one of these beauties. Only $16 bucks

I put one on a buddies bulldozer last year. You don't want to know what a John Deere start button goes for. Goes good with your user name too

Ha!! That's awesome. Totally gaudy. I found what I think is the part on Ebay so we'll see how that goes. This is a solid second choice though!
