Damn, well that sucks to hear about his turn around time.

Who would yall recommend now days going through to get carb work done on the OEM set along with an after market head to bump up the compression?

I just bought the ADA head kit and I am very happy with it. Extremely high quality piece.

Have you noticed any performance gains with the new heads? holeshot / top end?

Oh boy, so my extra intake manifold and adapter came in. Its looking possible to make this work with some work to the manifold to open up the air way a little and where the studs go for the carbs. Going to see if I can find some used mikuni 44's or 46's that will work with this adapter and give it a whirl. Pics of the manifold below, just have one adapter for testing right now. I am thinking I would also need to close off the connecting passages between the intake ports also due to not using the OEM carbs / needing that back pressure on them.

Looking at these carbs to try on this adapter, trying to confirm from the seller the mounting bolts come out to allow the studs the adapter below uses.

Edit - Looks like this carb might be a 36 / 38 mm, so looking at a new pair of mikuni / black jacks. Cant find any other used carbs in 44 or 46 mm

So anyone know if this manifold will fit a STX-R 1200 motor? Wonder if it will fit as is or if I will need to cut it into 3 individual sections
Dasa Kaw 1100/1200 Billet Intake Manifold

Edit: Dont think it will work, reeds are vertical (open left / right) and not horizontal (open up / down) on the STX-R 1200 motor.
