1995 Tigershark 900 - What is this plug in the pump housing?

    As the title says....

I was given a 1995 Tigershark 900, seems to run after a new starter and fuel pickup line. But there is a hole in the bottom of the pump housing that has a loose plug in it. Looks like it was sealed with silicone at one time. Here is a picture of the pump assembly from the internets as I didnít take a photo of mine. Anyone know what this is for? And if it just needs to be plugged?

That is a hole for a pitot for the speedometer. You can plug it if you don't need a speedo.
