seadoo 2014 RXPX 260 P0524 error code oil pressure sensor

please help me if you can ..

i went to start up for the season .. only thing changed since put away is winterize and oil change

got a check engine light and then check for fault code on dash unit and got P0524

oil pressure sensor .. is error code

i have done the usual .. disconnect battery ( and as a explanation from another forum said below ive attached....it doesn't help ... it didn't ...

i ran on hose for less than two minutes but did not see the "rev part" as i had already put machine away by the time i read the clip below

oil level is plenty ( in dead center of proper spot on dipstick) and clean .. filter is solid and not collapsed and o-ring looks ok

    this was the explanation....................................... .......
disconnecting the battery won't do anything. P0524 is low oil pressure and happens sometimes after oil changes. To fix, make sure oil level and filter are good(not crushed and not leaking at seal) and put it in the water(preferred) or on the hose. Get it rev as high as you can in limp mode for 30 seconds continuously and then shut it off(it may go off while revving it so be careful). put the key back on and the code should be gone and out of limp mode. the code will no longer be active and will only show as a previous occurrence.

THOUGHTS ON THIS AND SOLVING the PROBLEM??

    thanks

this issue has been figured out for a long time

the oil pressure sensors are known to fail ( they start tripping during pressure fluctuations tied to engine rpm) and 6 years seems about right..btw the DESS posts fail along the same timeline

to avoid changing them unnecessarily ( its not all that simple as on some skis the intake manifold has to be removed) you MUST physically measure the oil pressure to assure it really isn't a failure in the oil pump pressure regulator there's a port to connect a real pressure gauge to. you'll find some screenshots of oil pressure specs in the numerous threads on this topic if you do some sniffing around the forum
