    Sxr 1500 never seen water

Hi, I have a Ď17 SXR 1500 that I bought in 2018 new from dealer and I have never taken it out...just stored it but without disconnecting the battery and emptying the tank. I also have never started it.

Iím hoping for some advice from people with experience on what I mite need to replace before I get it ready for the summer.
    Thanks for the help.

It's too bad you didn't get to use this fun machine since 2018. Here's what I would do:
    1) remove the battery and charge it and check the condition with a load test
    2) siphon as much fuel out of the tank as possible and fill it with fresh fuel fortified with a fuel system cleaner product
    3) remove the spark plugs and check the condition
    4) initially start it on the trailer with cooling water supplied and listen for any noises

    Thanks for the list Pro1200.
I did upkeep with the “hoarding of performance part$” for it throughout.
As far as top speed and such, Any hardcore stats been thrown around lately?

was the fuel treated with stabilizer back in 18 ? if not, get as much fuel as you can out of the ski.

    Hi Chris288,

I’m not sure. I did call the dealer maintenance awhile back and from what I was able to pick up was to make sure I clean out everything fuel related. Hoses and such...I stated my case but was brief because I’m not bringing it in for service. I know that’s how they make good $.

    Hows it Steve,

    From what I researched:
    1. Motor on, then turn water on
    2. Water off, then motor off

Thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciate the help!

Prior to doing anything I would change the oil. Once that is done, I would pull the spark plugs out and crank the engine over for 30 seconds or so with the plugs out to let the engine build oil pressure and lube the top end. Once that is done, you can jump into doing the rest of it.
