    GP1800R SVHO 2019 Upgrades

I got a GP1800R SVHO 2019 it has 10 hours on it and was thinking about getting the map tuner x upgrade what are the pros and cons on this upgrade? Is 10 hours too soon to add this mod? Also any other recommended mods to get this ski rippin?

    Welcome.

There are lots of threads discussing the common upgrades for the GP1800. Since you have the 2019 you already have the better OEM intake grate and ride plate.

Your engine is now broken in. Do the Yamaha recommended 10 hour oil change. I also change the oil filter with every oil change.

I have two 2017 GP1800. Both have the Riva Stage 1 Plus tune, Low Octane tune. 'Low Octane' in Riva speak means 91.
You can choose between the 8000 RPM limiter or the 'standard' Riva tunes with 8300 or 8500 RPM limit.

Both of our GP1800 also have the Solas impeller.

Note: Impeller pitch selection must match the actual engine tune/power and the desired maximum sustained RPM at full throttle. The tune determines how much power the engine can produce, and the impeller determines what RPM that amount of power will spin up to.

The Riva MaptunerX tune system and the matching Solas impeller provide the most significant increases in performance.

Riva Stage 1 tune is meant for totally stock engines.

Stage 1 Plus tunes are to be matched with certain basic hardware upgrades such as cold air intake or IMUK.

Tunes at level Stage 2 and so on require aftermarket intercooler, etc.

If you do 8650 reflash from Dean, ribbon delete, intercooler, prop, ski will run low 80s all day reliable. I can't speak on maptunerx because I have dean reflash. When I first got my gp broke it in with 8650 deans tune and above mods and ran low 80s all day.

Air filter, tune, and impeller is a great start. Consider Dean's tunes they are excellent, and he does a tune and impeller combo.
