I would never buy an engine with plasma coated cylinder walls..

I take you haven't purchased a car in the past 20 years?

I believe they are all the same engine on the 2020. Plasma plated walls hold up fine until salt water gets in

It may work okay for cars though none of my newer vehicles (1-3 years old by the way) have plasma coated cylinder walls. I'll only buy into it when its readily available like a machine shop. Who knows, electric may take off before plasma coating shops come around.

I wouldn't modify a seadoo engine that is plasma coated. Sounds like liners/sleeves are needed when the plasma engines are slightly modified or after failing. I'd prefer an engine that can be rebuild multiple times without breaking the bank for the time being.. A couple hundred bucks for the machine shop and that's about it.. Or go electric..

but anyway you can buy now an 2020 modell and still get an 19 engine... so there is no protection i guess

I would stay clear from 2019 and 2020 models. It sounds like the 4tec times of sodium filled valves snapping off..
