Need the toughest sealant available
Since my Pro1200 was new I've had recurring air leaks from the pump shoe/rideplate interface. I've burned at least 2 blades from this. I currently have a R-Pot rideplate installed and I have drilled and tapped the pump shoe for screws to attach the rear of the intake grate. Theoretically this should reduce the downward pressure on the plate and keep the sealant from coming out. My next idea is to try a sealant that has more give and adhesion. What are people using to seal their pumps?

Polaris stock watercrafts use Loctite 5900 on their pumps and ride plates...so I would think that would work also.

Don't use 5200 but 4200 is removable! I'm puzzled why you need such drastic measures? Z

Loctite #5901
This is the EXACT sealant Polaris uses to install the pump assembly. Not available from Loctite for general retail sales .. I have it in stock, but it's extremely expensive. $42.00 per cartridge.
