    Rxp-x 300 problems

    Had the PWC for about 45 hours. Just took it out yesterday after a long winter and noticed some slipping after giving it full throttle off the start. Iím hoping it doesnít need a new carbon seal. Any advice?

    If its slipping from thrust.. Its Cavitation.. Wear ring, impeller, jet housing issue.. if its the engine not reaching top rpm, its a slipping supercharger or intake leak.

    Iím still getting full rpm and top speed but if I floor it off the start it makes that loud slip noise for like a half a second then takes off.

    It most likely needs a new wear ring, look at the wear ring through the intake grate from underneath and see if you can see any heavy gouges in it

    Are the Silas stainless steel wear rings and impellers any good?

    i think it will be your pump seal, they are always pinched from factory.

    How would I go about replacing that would I have to take the whole pump out and impeller or what

    To replace the pump seal you do have to remove the jet pump assembly, might as well do the wear ring while you have the pump out, if your impeller has any damage at all you should replace it also or get it repaired

    I personally would say NO. You'll end up replacing impellers instead of cheap wear rings that do typically last a long time.
