    Replaced ignition coil...concerns.

    Hello folks. First time poster.
I recently purchased a 2013 VX Cruiser with 120 hours on it.
While winterizing it, I noticed that one of the ignition coils was newer. I further noticed that the spark plug which came out of that coil was hotter than the other 3 spark plugs.
Can someone tell me what I may have gotten myself into? Specifically, what might have happened to warrant this new coil? And What does the hotter spark plug tell us? What should I do about all this?
    Any help is appreciated.

To add to that, I took it for a LONG water test before purchase. Then I winterized it right after the purhase. Unfortunately i didn't notice the hotter plug till winterizing it, after purchase.

It may have been installed because that cylinder is fouling out from oil passing beyond the rings. So to prolong that possibility of fouling a spark plug, a hotter heat range of spark plug was installed. Do a compression test dry then wet and compare the numbers. That will give you a good answer.

    Also... welcome to the forum.

    Take care

They probably replaced it because it swelled up- they swell if they get wet

The VX 110 does not have an engine cover which acts like a splashguard so water gets all over the motor and gets by the seal on the coils
