Very good demonstration, but how do we find that sweet spot when positioning the ski on the trailer bunks and where to position the winch stand? Thanks

Move the winch stand and hull forward until the hull position puts about 10% of the total loaded trailer weight on the tow ball. More than 10% is not a problem as long as the tow ball and tow vehicle are rated for the tongue weight on the ball.

General rule is more tongue weight makes for a more stable trailer, especially during sudden highway maneuvers at speed and during hard emergency braking, or both at the same time.

Along the same lines, you want the loaded trailer frame to be level with the ground. Not tongue high, and definitely not tongue low. Select a ball mount to create a level trailer during tow.

Very good demonstration! That Weigh Safe Hitch is an interesting idea, and about the same price as my B&W hitch.
