Being I had my GP1800 factory airbox and filter, I did a closer comparison just to see if there was something obviously wrong with my VXR filter. As mentioned, you an see the pleat distortion and bulge towards the throttlebody in comparison. If anything, you'd think the GP1800 filter would be bulged from the additional vacuum of the supercharger. The pics show the bulge somewhat, but it's blatantly obvious in person.

As i suspected...I was on the soft limiter. The last 1/4 thottle was useless after the intake. I even tried it with a Soloas concord 13/19. With a full tank of fuel and my daughter we ran nearly 66mph at the same rpm...looked like 7800 from the stock tach. That's the same the stock prop turned. Being so much throttle was wasted on top end I figured I'd try an 83mm nozzle off an older FZR. Well, that did the trick...kept me off the limiter and went the speeds posted below. Not to mention it should get much better fuel mileage now being that much more efficient. From all I've read, I basically did the opposite of what most suggest, that's why I'm sharing. i used what i had laying around, and for a stock ecu in this heat...I'm thrilled.

ksalles, those are some incredible speeds for a late model VXR. Heck, my stock, earlier model 2013 VXR has never gone that fast!

I suspected this nozzle would give some speed. Great work. The nozzle would be from a 09 fzr?

Any FZR FZS prior to the SVHO models. They are cast with 6S5 on them. Zero signs of stuffing and the torque and power of these high compression motors don't seem to mind the smaller diameter as much. Especially since they don't need rpm to make boost.

Great top speed!, what affect did the small nozzle have on holeshot?
