    2016 Turbo GTR

I've finally finished up my turbo kit, and went out on the river for some logging. I'm boosting about 13.5-13.9psi and she's feeling good. Fairly rich @10.54:1 wot and 39* of timing.

Everything is all of my own design. All waterjacked besides the turbo(Chinese 3576).

I'm seeing 70mph @8000 rpm in my 8 second wot pull in good amount of chop. The impeller is a 15/22r solas, lucky 13 cone, R&D seal and bored nozzle.

I plan to boost upto 17psi on the stock longblock, and spin to 8700rpm(I do have springs and TI retainers). Hopefully I can get this hull over the 80mph mark.

I will also be running e85, as I have ID1000's, ptfe ss fuel lines and a AEM 320lph pump.

Absolutely loving all the turbo sounds 🤙

    Congrats!

Some general comments from someone who has been running and Turbo kit for about 5 years. What ECU and tune are you using? As you go up in boost and rpm you need to bring your timing down around to 29-32* or risk detonation and knock! several of us turbo guys have also installed EGT sensors to monitor exhaust temps, which is also a good tool to monitor and adjust timing, knock, fueling, lambda/AFR, etc. My base boost is 17 psi and have a 9 position switch to dial it up to 25 psi on the fly. I have a heavy built motor capable of 10,000 rpm, but choose to keep it below 9500 rpm. Have gone 91+ mph, but have backed it off to mid 80’s for safety reasons. My issues over the years have been non-turbo related. Other stuff tends to break due to your new found horsepower!

    Have fun with it.

I'm running maptuner x. Knock is the reason I want to run ethanol. Jesús gave me the go ahead on turning the boost to 16 psi while monitoring air fuel ratios, then if all is well trun it to 18psi and log it.

With ethanol egt's are not a worry at such "low boost" levels. I don't plan on running more than 20psi on the stock short block. After I build a Click image for larger version.

ID:	459304block, I'll probably use something like ms3 or a ProEFI 48.

Jesus knows that he's doing, the base maptuner file for turbo I'm pretty sure has 36 degrees of timing. I was on 94 pump gas so I dropped the timing to 34 but was also running 20psi. The limit on stock pistons I'm told is 22psi but I never popped my motor at 22. I'm curious to see if the 1000's will support e85, I would recommend a relay for the 340 fuel pump I know you can get away without it on the 255's. Looks like a cool build man! Toss up some more pictures if you can.

I don't plan to go too extreme with the boost, but ID1000's should support a decent amount of power on ethanol. I did wire in a relay for the AEM pump as I was getting a CEL(they do drawl some amps).

Here's a little video while logging
