    The large black cable goes directlty from the neg battery post to the engine case. Left rear.

    Was the solenoid an exact replacement. Pretty sure it mounts in the electrical box.

    Got some good news, connected that black cable to the battery and the starter motor now spins freely. I don't know how I missed that ground connector initially. Thanks a lot for all the help guys!!!
