    dijsil - you are correct, and yes another oil question. You need to balance risk and the price of Yamalube, against the money you save and the amount of oil changes you do per year

    no synthetic oil on the supercharged Yamaha engine, the use of any oil with friction modifiers makes the clutch go out very quickly.

    I have used Yamalube on both my FX HO and FX SVHO. For me its not worth saving a few bucks and potentially getting something that may not be as good or buying the wrong thing. I figure im spending a little more but not by that much and if its what's recommended I guess Ill stick with it. Having said that I only used Royal Purple in my jeep and I know the manufacturer didnt use that!

    yamahalube isnt even expensive. just buy it on amazon.
