    Been a busy week.
Ski#2 - Installed Rhaas drive shaft holder, triple pissers and fixed air box that PO mangled.

On both skis - installed elec bilge pumps, sealed displays, trim mods (shortened cables).

Havenít tested anything yet. Waiting on weather to clear up. Looking forward to riding more than wrenching this summer.

On ski #2 I also need to order a replacement oil pump cable. Just as suggested, I took a look and itís frayed.
Oil lines to carbs and motor are pliable but the main tank to pump line needed replaced. It broke in half under pressure. I replaced that too.

Man, I thought I would have to spend hundreds on a Kawi OEM cable or scour the dark web for days trying to find a decent salvage cable.
    Nope.
I found a company called WSM makes new cable and itís only $65 including shipping.
They look legit so Iím expecting the quality to be decent. Let me know if you have any experience with their cables please.

I have used their cables before, nice quality. They did change the design of the cable in 02, so make sure you get the correct cable

Thanks. I almost ordered the wrong one but realized at the last minute and changed to the correct part.

Kawasaki had a lot of quality control problems with the oil pump cables. I got one that came new in the package with loose strands, cut myself trying to put it on. I got a replacement that was OK. Got another one that was about an inch too short. Apparently they made a bunch like that and you can't get enough adjustment out of it to make it work over the full throttle range.

What is that? Fuel residue? Don't know why it would be that high up in the carb.

That looks like it will clean up easily, but you'll need to clean the fuel tank, pump (which isn't supposed to be disassembled), the fuel level sensor/screen, and the inline filter.

Get ready to replace the fuel level sensor. They warp with age and stick.

That cylinder is dead, hopefully just the plug. Compression is fine. I have spark. Plug reads 4.76 ohms but the other two read 5.87, 5.39
I still donít get why the slime would be there either. I thought maybe blowback and some sort of reed failure or something but thereís good compression and no air coming out of the carb when I turn it over.
