    Well....

Yamaha don't use a BOV because the SVHO setup dont need it.. so as far as there is no need, there is no need also to increase cost.

Yamaha Supercharge (HKS) works pretty much like a turbo, due to the one way bearing ( clutch), that's why , once you reflash the ECU and remove limiters, or change to a bigger wheel, a BOV is not a bad idea.... not just to save the clutch, also think about when you release throttle the wheel still might keep spinning, so increasing boost when your throttle is closed... So been honest, I don't think a BOV will double your clutch life.. but for sure helps once you run reflash or bigger wheels.

Check the pic and you will see how once you reach the speed limiter ( in a GP is about 7400RPM), the ecu close throttle to keep the engine under 7400RPM, which make the supercharge produce no more than 7 or 8 Psi, plus closing the throttle up to 37 degrees ish... Well... there is no risk of overboost, or any overpressure that will risk the clutch.

Seadoo is a complete different thing... the way seadoo clutch works... you dont need a blow off valve unless you go to a really big wheel.... and even like that is not really a must.... but might help.
