    First Ski

Hey everyone, bought 3 used skis this weekend. One being a 2001 GTX fuel injected. None of the skis were maintained all that well it seems but it was a good price. Anyway i briefly started it on the trailer and it started right up with relative ease. Just wondering if some of you experts have any advice on things to check and or service before the start of the season. I have a new steering cable on the way as it was locked up completely. I did the test of disconnecting each end its for sure the cable. Looking forward to getting it on the water for a good test to see where everything else stands.

Hey I would check compression first to see where you stand

Compression is good and has a new top end kit plus one new cylinder.

Start up and run on the trailer . Look for water leakes especially around the drive lines and through hull fitting. Let get your to tempsture make sure it doesn’t over heat.. going to suck if you get out on the water and it overheats or sinks on you
