Then,... I’ll do the x charger, fuel inj, and prop and see if I can blow it up on mild mods! I’m out of warranty, so let’s see what happens... with a good plan B though

So far, my compression and performance is in check. Borescoped at end of season, found carbon buildup so will add a Fizzle catch can anyway. Will reinspect ahead of adding mods after spare engine rebuild so before and after data is more compelling if I wipe it out.

    Thanks!

I built a 2006 RXP with Jerry's recomendations, X-charger, 42LB injectors and a Solas 15/20 impeller. Best of 72 MPH on a GPS. I had 2 exhaust valves let go last fall and the engine is now a cool/expensive flower bed. I have the
    Solas 15/20 impeller
for sale if you are interested.

Were the exhaust valves the pre 2006 sodium filled or the 2006+ newer oem exhaust valves?

I think they were sodium filled, the stems were hollow. I'm not really positive how to tell other than that.

Just above or below the valve keepers on the valve stem ends you'll see numbers. if there is a 75 in the mix they were the newer 2006+ if they have a 72 its the sodium filled pre 2006..

That looks just like my failure, after posting this I measured up my shrapnel and the engine really seems to be perfect aside from cylinder 3 piston (rod). Building it as spare and just ordered a remain head from Eastside Powersports. My valves started with 72, and although a 2006, engine build was 2005 which makes sense.

I could very well be interested in that prop if you haven’t sold it.

Actually, you have an RXP. For my RXT I believe I would want a 14/19 with the x charger.
