Listening to music while riding at speed

All the manufacturers now offer this and it's easily possible to mount a BT speaker/s to your ride. Is it possible to hear music at high speed? Is there a certain speed it becomes less realistic?

You'd have to have a pretty powerful BT speaker to be able to hear it at any kind of decent speed.

The OEM's are getting pretty good reviews.

I don't have any of these systems, but I'd imagine once you get over 40-50 mph, the wind noise would drown out the stereo and/or make it not worth having on.

Above 50 is very hard to hear.
Mine is very loud-cant idle with it at full volume ..
I have the JL Audio VX system and I still added 4 small Kicker speakers on the dash blocking the display..

I have the Yamaha speakers from the second video, and the sound quality is still good at rather high speeds. Really like this model.

From my experience any smaller sound system is unable to be heard over 50ish mph (as others have stated). I personally have Bluetooth ear buds and an apple watch with my music on it. I can change songs/adjust volume off the watch and can clearly hear at any speed. And use a Bluetooth speaker when we are at the island.

I have been eyeing a set of jawbone conductive headphones for this purpose. IMO its really important to be able to hear what is around you which super loud speakers and traditional earbuds would isolate you from.
