    Low oil pressure warning

On my 2012 seadoo gtr 215 I have a low oil pressure message on the dash, so I changed the filter. Didnt work. So I changed the sensor. That worked for about 5 hours. Now it will come across the dash once and than go away. My maptuner doesn't sense anything. No oil is leaking. Compression in each cylinder is uniform. Only thing is that the catch can is more full than usual. Ski runs great hitting usual speeds. Any ideas?

Yes. Check the oil pressure with a gauge. Does the 2012 still have the fitting on the rear of the head where you can add / connect a gauge?

Could be a sticky oil pressure regulator too. But that requires pulling the engine to get too.

did they drop the front sensor for 2012?..I've had to change both most of the time to eliminate the red herring message, still a good idea to confirm oil pressure.

Rear of head below the coolant hose connector you will see a plug threaded into the head. That's where you connect an oil pressure gauge.
    Get one from harbour freight
    It's 1/4 npt thread

Here is a pic with my oil pressure gauge connected.

How many hours on on your engine? Also I have seen the wrong weight oil contribute to an oil pressure issue, make sure you use 10w-40

Gotcha. Are you able to leave it hooked up while you ride and such?

one other thing to look at is the actual oil level, more oil in the catch can is a sign of an overfill, which could cause oil aeration and a momentary drop in oil pressure

could also be a snarky replacement oil sender, rare, but possible

Yep. Gauge is in the glove box. I always do a start oil pressure check and a warmed up check and end of ride.
But you can just hook up one temporarily and see if the pressure has dropped to unsafe level when your alarm goes off
