    Riva waterbox install gp1800r

Is it necessary to remove exhaust manifold for installation of waterbox
on gp1800. I know when I installed on my fzs it was tight getting stock box out but it came out. Also I plan on doing exhaust too so all
the stock exhaust pieces will be gone. Any input would be great thanks

Yes the manifold has to be removed from the block to slide forward about 2 inches to remove the water box.

Yep manifold has to be unbolted and slid forward. If you're doing the through the hull find a small child and send them in lol. I had to borrow the neighbors kid as he was small enough to climb back inside far enough to tighten the clamps.

Both. The exhaust kind of slides in the water box a couple inches so you have to unbolt the manifold so it slides fw a bit. It may be possible to remove the riva box without moving the manifold tho.

You can get the riva out and in, but the factory won't make the clearance. I'd put the riva in first before bolting it back up though just to make it easier.
